October 28, 2016.    Congratulations to our client, 43North, which held its third business competition awards ceremony last night.  Special congratulations to Oncolinx, the winner of the $1 million award.  43North is the largest business competition of its kind in the world.  Based upon funding from Governor Cuomo’s Buffalo Billion and support from the New York Power Authority, 43North is bringing start-up companies to Buffalo.  What is perhaps 43North’s greatest accomplishment, in our opinion, was its unleashing of the business talent in Buffalo to support this enterprise and make it successful.  As business lawyers in Buffalo, we knew the talent, drive and expertise was here.  Thanks to 43North, the world is finding that out too.  43North has had a galvanizing effect on the business environment in Western New York, and will continue to bring a steady flow of innovative new companies to our area.  If we sound like a cheerleader, we are.  We are proud to assist this client.
